Workshop: Migración y minorias, superando
barreras culturales
We are notifying you that
due to unforeseen circumstances,
there has been a change of location for this workshop.
Instead of Figueres the event will be held in Barcelona
at the Escuela de Enfermería, Fisioterápia y Nutrición de
Blanquerna, Universidad Ramon Llull, during the same dates
(25-27 September 2006).
The deadline for registration is 18 September 2006.
The registration fee is 75 €, which includes:
registration fees, attendance to all sessions, documentation and
certificate of assistance. This workshop will be conducted in
Spanish.
Condolences for Dr. Lee Jong-wook
The Congress organisers and committees mourn the death of Dr.
Lee Jong-wook, 1945-2006, World Health Organisation
Director-General, member of the Congress Honorary Committee, who
passed away 22 May 2006. We would like to give our condolences
to his family and share with other colleagues our sorrow for
this loss.
Communications
A total of 1116 abstracts have been received from five
continents. Authors that have submitted an abstract will be
notified by email before July 1st regarding the results of the
evaluation process.

Scholarships
186 scholarships have been solicited. The 35 selected
recipients will be notified in the next few days on the awarding
of the scholarships sponsored by “The Beverage Institute for
Health and Wellness”. For those who were not selected as
beneficiaries, the Congress organisers and in particular the
Congress President, are committed to seeking further
sources of financing to cover the rest of the proposals.
Sightseeing tours on September 27th and 30th and
October 1st.
Various sightseeing tours are being prepared for these dates,
taking advantage of the grape harvesting season in Catalonia.
